As part of a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) project for course ITAL 302: Intermediate Italian II taught by Dr. Elena Zampieri, in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West, students investigated the theme of “Italian Design” by conducting interviews with local Vancouver businesses that sold Italian-designed goods, learning more about their design philosophy and the Italian Design market in Vancouver. The students’ written and video materials were then published on the “Design” section of the Italian Chamber’s website and were featured at the Italian Design Day event on March 23rd, 2022.
