The FHIS Learning Centre, located in Buchanan Tower 898, is now open for the academic year.
The FHIS Learning Centre is a free service available for students of all levels and languages of the FHIS curriculum (French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish). We offer student-centered conversation practice, tutoring (i.e. grammar and vocabulary questions), and help with the continued development of core skills (i.e. speaking, listening, reading, and writing) necessary for students’ success in acquiring and becoming proficient in the languages that we teach.
To schedule an appointment, please follow these simple steps:
1. Go to https://fhislearningcentre.arts.ubc.ca
2) Log-in with your CWL and password
3) Select your language (tabs are listed at the top)
4) Click on any blank space to book an appointment and simply check the schedule for Drop-in sessions.
(For Drop-in sessions, no appointment is necessary, just come to Buchanan Tower 898 during the desired session and students will be received on a first-come, first-served basis.)
