Gabriel Saldías Rossel — Fricciones is a collection of short stories published by Editorial Nadar in Chile, 2017. All the short stories present in the volume revolve, as its title suggests, around the idea of uncomfortable contact. Written with a caustic prose filled with black humor, irony and detachment, the nightmarish scenarios presented in these short stories joyfully play with the painful past and the disappointment for the future of Chile and Latin America, mocking and lamenting, at the same time, the unavoidable misery brought about by the human experience presented in its pages.
