Nnaemeka Hubert is a second-year master’s student in UBC’s Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies (FHIS). He did his undergraduate studies at AE-FUNAI in Nigeria, where he majored in French Language, Literature, and Culture. Nnaemeka has over 5 years of experience in French language Pedagogy and Andragogy. However, his research interests majorly lie in the field of sociolinguistics, particularly in language contact studies and language contact phenomena. His current research is a study of language attitudes amongst speakers of the 3 major national languages in Nigeria (Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba). Outside of studies, Nnaemeka enjoys public speaking, meeting people, and listening to music.
