Anita Uzama is a first-year Master’s student in the University of British Columbia’s French, Hispanic and Italian Studies Department. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics and French Studies from UBC. Through her research interest in Indigenous and French languages, she hopes to discover the linguistic contact and connection between the two languages in Western Canada. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, eating pâtisseries and watching Francophone movies.
