Make Community Connections! Reading Week Projects for FHIS students



Looking for a break from the books this Reading Break? A 3-day project with an elementary school or non-profit organization can enable you to work in group settings, learn more about community issues, apply your academics in the real world, building lasting connections, and make a difference. Projects are between February 20th – 24th, and there is a placement to match your interests and career goals.

Options Community Service’s Film Project – Partake in the filming of videos about Online Safety and Boundaries and Healthy Sexuality. Students will be on camera acting out video scripts, as well as having candid interviews relating to the importance of online safety.

Learning Exchange’s Mash-Up Art Fair – Work alongside staff members to design and execute the Mash Up Art Fair! This 3 day project will feature an assortment of activities, workshops and experiences mashing up black history month, music, and arts for social change.
