June 12, 2019 — Dr. Jorge Izquierdo, former PhD graduate from UBC’s Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies (FHIS), gave a guest lecture to UBC students participating in the “Go Global” Summer Intensive Spanish Language Program at Universidad de las Américas (UDLA) in Ecuador.
Dr. Jorge Izquierdo graduated in May 2018 with a PhD in Hispanic Studies at FHIS. He is currently a professor and academic coordinator for the Honor’s Program at UDLA Quito. This was an exciting opportunity to collaborate with one of our alumni and the university where he now teaches.
