The Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies is pleased to announce that the following students have been awarded research funding:
Gianluca Oluic was awarded a Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for his research project entitled The Idea of Europe: The “Old Continent” perceived from the Southern Periphery.
Juliette Christie was awarded a Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s Award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for her research project entitled Pensées sur l’interprétation de la peinture.
José Ricardo García Martínez was awarded an Affiliated Fellowship from UBC Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for his research project entitled Invisible and Mobile Lines: The Mexico/US Border, a Narrative of Displacements.
