Attend a free screening of the Italian film La guerra del Salento (The Great Salento War), followed by a live Q&A session with the director Marco Pollini.
The event will be screened in Italian with English subtitles, so all are welcome! Snacks and drinks will be served.
About the film:
La grande guerra del Salento, a film that director Marco Pollini based on the novel of the same name by Bruno Contini in 2018, is the story of the first Italian football fan to lose his life over a football match. The film, set between 1948 and 1949, is about Antonio, a young boy from Supersano who loses his life following the clashes that took place after the football match between Ruffano and Supersano, two villages in the province of Lecce. This story not only revolves around football rivalry, but also passion for the sport, the desire for revenge, and the love between two boys.
