Julio Montero, FHIS alumni, dance instructor, performer and producer, will showcase examples on African music and dance elements as key components of today’s Cuban casino (Cuban salsa), a popular social dance. We will learn about its historical and ethnic roots, and its social implications on Cuban identity.
This presentation will be in mostly in Spanish.
