DATE
Wednesday March 4, 2026
TIME
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Join linguist Vera Gheno for a discussion on inclusive language practices in contemporary Italian, with potential transfer to the other Romance languages.

The event will explore linguistic and communicative strategies aimed at promoting gender equality, social inclusivity, and the representation of diverse identities through language. Through concrete examples, debates, and theoretical reflections, Vera Gheno will guide participants in understanding the challenges and opportunities of using neutral, alternative, or non-binary forms, and their implications in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.

This is a unique opportunity to gain practical tools and develop critical awareness for more inclusive and respectful language use.

The talk will be held in Buchanan Tower, Room 726 or Zoom in English. This event is open to all.
