Kathryn Houston receives the SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s Program Award

Congratulations to Kathryn Houston, MA student in Hispanic Studies, who has received the Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s Program (CGS M) award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) for her Chicano project titled Belonging to Both Cultures: “The People of the Paper”.

The CGS M Program provides financial support to high-calibre scholars who are engaged in eligible master’s or, in some cases, doctoral programs in Canada. The objective is to help develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.
