Graduate Research Assistant (2 positions) – Medieval French Literature

Dr. Patrick Moran, Assistant Professor of Medieval French Literature, is seeking two Graduate Research Assistants. View the job descriptions below.

Total work hours: 200
Duration: Winter Term 1 and Term 2 (with the potential to renew for a second year if the GRA is still enrolled in a UBC graduate program)
Rate: $27/hr plus applicable benefits

This Graduate Research Assistant position deals with questions of genre in medieval French literature. Tasks include:

  • Biographical work (reading and reporting on critical and theoretical materials)
  • Writing posts for the project’s research blog
  • Manuscript studies and work on digitized manuscripts

The second year will also include:

  • A funded research trip to Paris to study medieval manuscripts
  • The opportunity to co-organize a panel at the International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo in May 2021
