As part of our series on academic professionalization, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will give a workshop on writing conventions in our discipline. This interactive workshop will be led by Dr. Susan Porter and Dr. Beth Haverkamp. It aims to provide strategies for ensuring that written work meets the highest ethical standards.
Dr. Beth Haverkamp
is Associate Professor, Counselling Psychology, Faculty of Education. Her scholarly interests include Ethics, Assessment and Research Design, and Counselling Process Research. In 2009 she was awarded the Killam Faculty Teaching Prize in the Faculty of Education.
Dr. Susan Porter
is Dean and Vice-Provost in Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Her scholarly interests have included molecular genetics and clinical molecular diagnostics. In recent years she has turned her attention to graduate student professional development including developing materials for courses on the responsible conduct of research.
