You are invited to Italian Lettore’s Day (La giornata del Lettore) as part of the 20th Week of the Italian Language in the World:
“Italian Between Word and Image: Graffiti, Illustrations and Comic Books.”
Connect with other members of the Italian community at UBC, SFU, and Vancouver and enjoy a special presentation titled “Italian: the Language of a Thousand Colours” by Francesca Cerisano, Visual Storyteller and Animator of titles such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and The Snoopy Show.
Creative Contest entries by UBC and SFU students of Italian will be presented at the event, and the winners will be awarded.

Francesca Cerisano is a Visual Storyteller who has done animation for titles such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Snoopy Show, Carmen Sandiego, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
After completing a Master's degree in Art Business and working in the auction house sector (Christie's) and in luxury real estate (Engel & Voelkers), spending years moving between Rome, London, Salzburg and Dresden, she decided to follow one of her greatest passions, Animation, in 2014. The diploma in Animation at the Vancouver Film School gave her the opportunity to start her career as a visual storyteller.
