 e</em>. Joining the discussion will be Colombian writer and muralist Santia
 go Rodas\, and UBC faculty members Jon Beasley-Murray\, Alessandra Santos a
 nd María Adelaida Escobar Trujillo.</p><p><strong>The event is free and ope
 n to the public.</strong> The film screening will be in Spanish with Englis
 h subtitles. The panel discussion will also be held in English and Spanish.

 re two young graffiti artists who paint the city that they live in\, Medell
 ín. Their restless spirit leads them to defy a criminal gang when they deci
 de to paint a mural over a threat written in a wall. The love that unites t
 hem\, their friendship with other artists at La selva- an old house they us
 e as a refuge- and familiar tensions\, come together to tell a story were t
 he powerful strength of youth faces fear\, violence and the difficulties of

 ><strong>Panelists</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Catalina Arroyave Restrepo<
 /strong> is a Colombian screenwriter\, director\, actor trainer and teacher
 . She is the co-founder of Rara Colectivo Audiovisual\, a film project mana
 gement company based in Medellin\, Colombia.</li><li><strong>Santiago Rodas
  Quintero</strong> is a Colombian writer\, muralist\, and “grafitero.” He h
 as published several books such as <em>Gestual</em> (2014)\, <em>Trampas tr
 opicales</em> (2015)\, and <em>Plantas de sombra</em> (2018). Rodas has par
 ticipated in different urban art festivals in Colombia and Mexico.</li><li>
