 y is a Business Officer at Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan).
  She graduated from UBC in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Re
 lations and French. During her undergraduate degree\, she was always involv
 ed in campus life\, having served as the President of the International Rel
 ations Students’ Association (IRSA) and volunteered as a French tutor at th
 e FHIS Learning Centre. In her current role at PacifiCan\, she works with b
 usinesses\, industry associations\, and academic institutions to help grow 
 BC’s economy. She is also a lead on the BC Indigenous Clean Energy Initiati
 ve\, which provides support and capacity-building to Indigenous clean energ
 y projects. Outside of work\, she enjoys skiing on the local mountains\, ba

 n award-winning City Columnist at The Vancouver Sun and The Province newspa
 pers\, where he has worked since 2013\, covering politics\, housing\, polic
 ing\, and more. He also worked as a researcher and writer for NBC on the ne
 twork's coverage of the last eight Olympic Games. Fumano has received Canad
 a's National Newspaper Award and the Jack Webster Award\, B.C.'s highest jo

 "]</p><p>Jennifer is a scholar and instructor of Italian\, Italian literatu
 re\, and Medieval & Renaissance Studies. She was trained at UBC and UC Berk
 eley\, with formative experiences also at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in
  Florence and Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. From 2018 to 2020\, she was
  Assistant Professor at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania. From 2
 020 to 2022\, she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Romance Stud
 ies at the University of North Carolina\, Chapel Hill. She has taught a ran
 ge of subjects to majors\, non-majors\, and graduate students: Italian\, wr
 iting and research\, global renaissance studies\, topics in intellectual hi
 story\, and the history of the book. Her published research explores Renais
 sance controversies around branding\, identity\, and inheritance\, and the 
 legacies of historical postures of <em>impegno </em>or political commitment
  in modern and contemporary Italy. She stepped off the tenure track in 2022
  to start a family in Vancouver and discover humanities work on a local sca

 tomer experience\, and economic impact. With a passion for barrier-free tra
 vel and aviation\, Sonya contributes to projects that aim to improve the ac
 cessibility of facilities and the overall user experience\, primarily at ai
 rports. Prior to joining InterVISTAS\, Sonya gained experience in the indus
 try working as a Customer Service Agent at Harbour Air Seaplanes. She also 
 completed a co-op term at Transport Canada where she worked as a Financial

  for a place to start\, Alicia took on the recommendation from a friend and
  joined a start-up as an Operations Shift Lead. Nearly two years later\, Al
 icia graduated to becoming a Business Analyst\, focused on writing and desi
 gning the processes for what is known today as TELUS Health MyCare. Some no
 table work includes redesigning the procedures which were based on a fee-fo
 r-service model to accommodate the\, then newly introduced\, longitudinal f
 amily physician payment model. After spending four years in health-tech\, s
 he made the switch to software consulting where she currently focuses on de
 signing case management software for the child welfare of Indigenous groups
