We are standing on the damp insignificant inroads into our otherwise computer-proof university departments: not the most advanced applications that make the news, such as the android Sophia, AlphaGo, or Watson the Jeopardy whiz, but rather the mundane variety that are already under foot in our classrooms. What do these damp foreshadowings tell us about how deep the water will get?
