Introduction to the Analysis of Portuguese and Brazilian Cultures

PORT 222 provides an interdisciplinary approach to popular culture in the Portuguese-speaking world. It is organized in thematic units with texts, songs, videos, and specific critical perspectives, which emphasize questions pertaining to the culture of everyday life, both rural and urban, including folklore, popular literature, ritual, arts and crafts, music, television, film and sports.
